"I bought the first Rush album in 1974 after hearing 'Working Man' on WRAS GA STATE UNIV radio. I am sure I am the first Rush 'fan' in Georgia and fanatically defended them thru 'Fly By Night' and 'Caress of Steel'. Anyway, on October 31 (Halloween) 1977, I saw them for the first time at Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom in Atlanta, across from the Fox theatre on Peachtree Street, and slithered downstairs after the show and got an autograph. I always felt that Geddy Lee disliked the south and heard him make a disparaging remark onstage during the show. When I got my autographs from the band, Alex signed something that was supposed to be funny but no one has yet to understand what it means. After he signed, Neil wrote a small follow-up and Geddy signed his name Geddy "Tex" Lee (so much for his love of the south). If he only knew or cared how many times I had to defend his vocals, when the Bee-Gee's were hot. Maybe someone out there in cyberspace can tell what Alex wrote."
