While RUSH is preparing themselves for their two Canadian dates, forthcoming album and an American tour, they are also, once again, sponsoring Elizabeth Plank - the 15 year old swimmer who RUSH co-sponsored last year to swim across Lake Ontario, RUSH is Elizabeth's favorite rock group.
Elizabeth Plank was born in Toronto, March 23rd, 1964 and has been a swimmer since she was four years old. Last year Elizabeth attempted the lake and was pulled out four miles from Ontario Place because of a severe electrical storm.
She will begin this year's swim at Niagara-on-the-Lake (Royal Queens Beach) at 12:05 a.m., August 18th, 1979 (weather permitting).
Upon completion of her swim, Elizabeth will become the youngest swimmer to conquer the lake.
