Canadian supergroup Rush have announced details for their first North American tour since 1997. The Vapor Trails tour, named after their forthcoming album, will kick off June 28 in Hartford, Conn. Right now, 27 shows are on the itinerary, with additional dates to be announced.

The legendary trio - Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart - will release Vapor Trails, their 17th studio record, May 14. Vapor Trails is the band's first album of new music in more than five years. Fans have been so eager to get their hands on the new record that when a rumor of a downloadable version of the album hit the Web, Rush's Tri-Net site was inundated with traffic and temporarily forced offline.

While the rumor proved to be just that, there was an incident during the second week of April when another site did manage to leak out downloadable tracks from Vapor Trails. However, the songs were pulled shortly afterwards when management got wind of the deal.

Tickets for the Vapor Trails tour go on sale beginning April 20 and will continue through May, according to tour promoter Clear Channel Entertainment.
